Best of 25 Years Stamps

As part of our 25-year anniversary celebration, we’re bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release-one set per month-during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each “Best of” set will also include a never-before-seen image!

Check back here every month to download a flyer for a new Best of stamp set, and be sure to share it with your customers.

Some things to remember:

  • All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.
  • While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month (with a new theme each month), all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
  • A new flyer will be released every month for each new Best of set.
  • All Best of stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.

While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month, all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.

As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, we’re including a collector’s card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set. Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95! Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

One more Halloween Card

This adorable Halloween card took only five minutes to make. It would have been less if I didn’t take the time to cut her out, but she looks so cute popped up.

Candy Bar Sliders

With Halloween around the corner, what a great time to make these Candy Bar Slider treat holders.  This technique has been around for awhile with many variations. Following are quick and simple instructions that I used.

Cut your DSP (Designer Series Paper) to 2-3/4″ x 11″

Score at 5-3/8″ and 5-5/8″

Turn and score at 1/4″ inch on each side (11 inch side)

Where the score lines meet in the middle snip up to lines as shown. This will be the bottom of your holder.

Crease your score lines and assemble your box. Use either liquid glue (Tombow) or sticky strip on two of the side folds.

Based on the width of your ribbon, use a punch at the top front center of your box, I used the Little Labels Punch Pack.

Then line your punched hole with the back side of the box and punch again.

It should look like this

Take your candy bar and wrap your ribbon around it.

Slide it into the box.

Pull the ribbon through the punched holes.

Then tie your ribbon at the top, allowing you to push and pull the candy bar out.

You should be able to slide the candy bar in and out of the treat holder.

Decorate and embellish

This one is using Scallop Dotted Ribbon for the knot.

Quick Tip:  Use 12″x12″ paper for larger candy bars, just score 1/8″ on either side of the center point of the paper.

Stamp set: Toxic Treats
Ink: Versamark
Paper: My Digital Studio – Pick Your Poison
Accessories: Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Labels Collection Framelits, Little Labels Punch Pack, 1/2″Basic Black Scallop Dot Ribbon, 1/2″ Striped Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Black Embossing Powder and candy bars.

Spooky Bingo Bits

Quick post for a Halloween card idea.

Stamp Sets:  Spooky Bingo Bits and Monster Munchies

Paper: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry, My Digital Studio DSP- Pick Your Poison

Ink:  Black Stazon, Rich Razzleberry, White Craft and Stampin’ Write Markers, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie

Accessories:  Postage Stamp Punch, 1″ square punch, Rhinestones (on the boot), googlie eyes, Spider Web Embossing Folder, 1/8″ Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, sponge dauber and dimensionals.

Halloween Tea Lights

Pressed for time during the holidays but still want something fun and festive? Try making these five minute tea lights.

Here’s how you put it together:
Cut one strip of vellum card stock at 4″ x 8″
Cut two strips of vellum card stock at 3″ x 8″
Use the Scallop Edge Punch on one side
Use the embossing buddy before stamping your image with Versamark
Heat set (since I was using vellum I used the heat gun under the image)
Add sticky strip to one side and attach the ends
Add your tea light

Tip: To hide the seam, try stamping your image about 1/3 from the edge instead of stamping directly in the center. This way your seam is off on the side and not in the back directly behind the image like mine.

Supplies are all Stampin’ Up except tea lights

Stamp Set: Toxic Treats
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Vellum Card Stock
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Embossing Buddy, Black Embossing Powder, Sticky Strip Tape, Tea Lights (battery operated)

Wouldn’t these look great with Christmas images, such as snowflakes, or for a little ambience stamp hearts for Valentine’s Day, Anniversary, etc., it’s endless.
